As some of you know I have been in the process of swapping a stock LQ4/4L80e and T case for in place of a TBI350/th400 and dead T case.

With all parts, programming, custom harness, exhaust, Air intake, fuel and cooler lines and pumps, and the whole shebang along with 3500 in labor since I did not have time to handle the project myself and the truck is my daily driver I am now broke and out at 10,700 or so, but I know have a running truck.

What have conversions run you guys? I am left feeling like I may have been fleeced just a bit I am wondering. I was hoping labor would be closer to 2500 and some parts were pricey. What do you guys think?

I GOT A SMOKIN DEAL ON THE LS1, $300, AND AM KEEPING MY TH350, BUT WITH HARNESS/PCM, COIL PACKS, FUEL SYSTEM, MOUNTS, AND OTHER MICSC. STUFF, I WILL BE DONE AROUND $2000.00.

From what I understand, the guys at Street and Performance charge right around that amount to do the conversion. It's a 50 hour job for 4x4 and just over 40 hours on a 2wd.

Sounds reasonable. Keep in mind each swap isn't the same, some customers opt for more expensive parts, and to top it off, those little parts add up quick. You can easily have $1000 in just the fuel system.

    congrats,
