Thumbs up

Sorry if this is kind of a dumb question. I currently have the option to buy an ls1 with under 50k miles on it for around 400-500 bucks. I am just curious about the amount of diffculty to put it into an 2004 silverado 4.8 with a 5 speed.
The ls1 is out of a 2001 corvette and comes with everything I just have to install cam bearings. I really had my heart set on a 6.0 liter with the iron block, but I wanted some of y'alls opinions. I am kind of short on cash (just bought the truck) and I am short on room in the garage. However I do have a dealership at my disposal but only after hours and saturdays. How much trouble am I looking at with the vette LS1 swap?

buy the motor! i honestly dont think there is much of a power difference between the 6.0 and ls1. if the 6.0 does edge out the ls1 the ls1 makes up for it in a little weight. i run a ls1 and went 13.26@102 on the stock cam in my ECSB. you dont need to replace bearings at 50k. its not even broken in at 50k thats a helluva deal

The cam bearings were purposely destroyed so that the extended warranty company would replace the motor.
