well i was thinking i would just get a 3/4 of an inch spacer on the bell housing, will that would or do i need an adapter for the torque converter output shaft.
or could anyone tell what i need to do to make it work.
any help is appreciated.

You'll need either a crankshaft extension and longer flywheel bolts or a torque converter guide extension to space the convertor out to the correct depth. I've never done the conversion myself but that is what I keep hearing it takes to use the OBS transmission on the Gen3 engine. You could just bite the bullet and buy the correct transmission and sell your old one. If it was good it's worth at least $400 to somebody.
I've also heard the 93 electronics won't work with the Gen3 PCM. Don't know but that's what I've heard.

well my problem is the torque converter the the new motor won't allow me to bolt up my transmission found out the hard way the broke one of the mounting tabs. then i measured from the block to the end of the output shaft on the converter the new one is 3/4 of an inch long.
then that doesn't allow me to get the transmission to bolt because the bell houseing hits the torque converter.
would you think that i could have a machine shop put a 3/4 inch spacers on my bell houseing, to close up the gap.
any help is appreciated.
also i just wonder why that would want a crankshaft spacer that would make the problem worse.
also i have one more question could i also use a stand also computer to tell the transmission what to do.
well thanks in advace for the info.
i do appreciate any help.
Was the converter you bought for the 93 engine? The Gen3 convertor will NOT work on the OBS transmission.
