    hey guys,
i just bought a new cluster for my 99 silverado...old cluster i put gauge faces on and messed up all readings on it so i bought one from a 2002 sierra 1500...
everything went smooth and all gauges work fine but the AIRBAG light is on...

how can i get it to go off?? is there a way to program it off? disconnect the bulb? etc...any help would be great...

    thanks guys,

have you tried simply disconnecting the battery for a few minutes then hooking it back up?

no that light is on for good! I have the same one in my 99 when I installed an '02 Escalade cluster. Allen said there is no way to turn it off. I believe there is something different in the airbag system for 02 that causes this light.

I would recommend taking the bulb out, I havent done that yet, it just hasnt really pissed me off yet. That would be my way of going about it, just take out the cluster and pull the bulb right behind the light from the back.
