I have a 2000 silverado that wont start.. its got the 4.8L auto trans 4wd.
A freind was using it and pulled into our local wallmart and it stalled out on him, fired it back up parked it and when he came out of the store it wouldnt start.. finally found the ECM fuse had blown so he replaced it and still nothing it popped the fuse again.. Is their anything other then a shorted wire that would cause this??? it will crank with no problem it just wont fire up(obviously the ecm fuse is blowing, I dont want to keep replacing the fuses at the risk of damaging anything else..
    Anyone got any Idea's????

Turn the ignition on and listen for the fuel pump in the tank. If you don't hear it, it's burned up.
