A friend of mine has this truck and it keeps popping the ECM-B fuse under the hood. The motor is a 5.3 I thought it might be a short so we traced the wires and found nothing. This happens intermittently about every 3 months. Has anyone had this same problem? Any input would be appreciated!

the ecm b fuse is used to supply 12 volts to the fuel pump. only time you see this fuse blow is when the pump starts pulling to many amps. tell him to change the fuel pump and replace the filter.

I would check for knicks/shorts in the wiring going to the pump. GM is bad about not protecting the pump wiring harness.
