ECM (HCU) removal procedure how to?

I talk to Bill @ HPTuners and agree to send him one of my HCU, so he can work with it cracking the code for tuning.

He told me he will need it from 2 weeks to 2 month depending the crap GM put to it !!!!

Is there any special procedure for taking it out harmless ?

    Any help welcome....

HCU? You mean ECM/TCM or am I missing something(ecm=engine control module/tcm=transmission control module)? The one right next to the driver's side empty battery box? If you have a 6 speed auto then I hear its TCM is inside the transmission. Is it possibly different due to the fact that it's a hybrid?

Later I'll look for it......HCU is how the geek boys at Dephy call it (Hybrid Control Module)
I'm almost sure it is not in the same place as Gas Trucks.

So Far I know I have to turn off the 300V batt, the normal Batt, and then look for that damn ECM under all the plastic !!!!
