    Hello again fellas,
    The truck:
    1994 GMC Sierra SL 4.3L v-6, auto 4x2

    The problem:
Earlier tonight while walking behind my truck I noticed that I had no tail lights what so ever. I had my lights on so I checked out the rest of the lamps. All were on except the tail lamps and 3rd brake light. I paid it no mind at first and thought a bulb may have went out..but as time went by I was like why were both out.

So on the way back home I observed that my turn signals appeared to be working but were now flashing at 3 times the normal rate. I got home and parked the truck and turned the turn signals on (both right/left individually)...and as the indicator showed earlier they were actually infact flashing at 3 times the normal rate for both sides. I was like great..a turnsignal problem and no brake lights

I also noticed upon further inspection that my drivers side parking lamp/turn signal lamp was filled with about 1.5" of water....how the hell did that happen anywho I pull it apart and drain the water. Still same result as far as fast turn signals.

As far as the brake lights are concerned I am completely baffled. I took the drivers side tail light assembly apart and inspected the unit..nothing out of the ordinary. everything looked good. I turned the lights on and went back to the rear of the truck...and get this..the lights were on....just barely though....i mean they were VERY dimmly lit. I swapped out some new bulbs with same result.

Does anyone have any clue where I can start trouble shooting this. I am not by no means an electrical guru....but i did check the fuses

High resistance in the light switch? Mine is getting a little slow to turn on the headlights at time. It's a 92. You should also verify that you have a good chassis ground at the harness in the rear. It's on the driver side of the frame at the rear, under the bed. Also make sure your battery is grounded good to the frame and body.

Mine does the same thing, I always wondered what was wrong with it.
I can turn the switch on, and about 5-10secs after, the lights come on.
    thanks,
