    battery problems again....

Hey guys, heres the scoop, i got a 99 4x4 with the 5.3L, i have a 2 Fahrad capacitor with a 800W pioneer amp and a 10" infiinity sub, and i have Efans with the nelson harness, and the stock alternator and yet another die-hard suv and truck battery.

So every winter i go through the same thing, for some reason, after a certain period of time in the cold the truck starts to get slow starting and then i have been so busy and havent had to go anywhere because of school i havent driven it for 2 days, and its been about 2 degrees outside, and i go to start it tonight and bam, its dead, and i get headlights, but the starter just clicks. But sometimes i won't have any power at all, not even enough to run the security system.

So im wondering what in the heck is the deal? Im gonna go get yet another new battery tomorrow, unless it starts in the morning, i have a jumper pack for now, but what is going on?

P.S. - i have the underhood light unplugged and the capacitor shuts off after like 5 min of not being used, and i havent been running the stereo, and if i do its very low volume.

i suggest a optima battery, and a higher voltage alt. they have em on ebay all the way up to 275. and a ground kit wouldnt hurt.

Get a block heater and a battery warming tray or trickle charger.

yeah i was thinking about the battery warming thing, the only problem with the charger is that i park out in the middle of a parking lot with no way to get electrical to my truck.

But like today it started and ran everytime today and it was pretty darn cold out. well have to see what happens i guess.

    thanks for the input
