My clarion Double DIN unit has had similar problems, the wiring harness on the Clarion Units have changed from the old kind they had. They have that box that has the light in it now with resistors and crap. Mine would shut off while driving down the road and if i pulled over and cycled the key, it would come back on. I am buying a 2010 DD unit today and the wiring harness is back like the old ones, the little rectangular black box on the yellow lead. Not sure what was up with mine, but it also affected battery voltage in 2 different vehicles now. I also have amps and subs on mine. It is goin in the trash.
