    Question Clear Coat Peeling

Washed my truck today for some pictures and notice that the clear coat has started peeling on the top of the passenger side door. Can I just sand this down a little and rattle can on some clear to make it look okay or do I need to get a body shop to touch it up. The spot is just above the window about eight inches long. Not very noticeable unless you over 6ft but it is still there. Looks like the door could have been repainted before.

Looking for ideas since I am a mechanic and not a body guy.

If you want to do it yourself, feather it out with 600 grit and spray away

Today after further close inspection the clear is starting to bubble up lower on the door too. How much is it to just get a door repainted? Only one minor door ding in it rest is perfect.

every body shop is different on price, you will get a cheaper price usually when you pay cash.

I would get it done by a shop. If you feather and rattle can that spot it, there is no way to melt the clear in, and thats tricky to do with real material also. I could fix the door for $100
