My shackles are 2'' brought it down about 2.5. I got about 300 pounds in the bed for winter, and no rubbing.

2" shackles should not hit. When the leaf compresses the shackles actually get farther away from the bed. You said it only happens when going over bumps? Can you get a picture of where the shackle is rubbing?

you can put them on backwards. The shackle has an open side and a closed side. If you have the close side forward you could be banging the spring against it during suspension travel.

belltech makes 3" shackles for the HD trucks. i had them on my truck and had to bend some material out of the way so they didnt contact the underside of the bed.

true, on mine the 2" shackles would hit a seam in the bed so I had to take a saw and cut the seam/pinch weld on both sides of the shackle and then took a hammer and bent that section of the bed out of the way.
