    SS seats trouble!!! :(

so i have an 05 sss cab and put console in my truck and trying to get power to the seats. ran a power wire from battery and grounded seat and they still dont work... not a single inch. obviously i cant run straight 12v power from my battery to the seat, so i dont know where to get it from but still confused as to why the seats wont move... i still have to try driver side seat to see if that works. Any suggestions/ thoughts? thanks

You can run 12v to a power seat. or just use a drill battery. We used this method at the salvage yard to pulln seats when the vehicle had no power.

Yup. I use drill battery to test power windows, locks, radios, anything needing 12v just make sure it's a 10-14v battery. I don't think an 18v would work.

18 volt should work, it would just move very very quickly

Yeah I guess it is for coils. Circuit boards only like their specified voltage though. Tried to install a kenwood in an airplane once, harness to harness. Didn't work, checked voltage, cd player no works with 24v. Worked fine back at the shop though.

I guess what i shouldve said was, "18 volt should work, it would just move very very quickly and you might start to blow stuff up"
