00 to 03 gmc bumper swap

I recently acquired a 03 and up GMC bumper. I have a 00 model and I was wondering if they make brackets for the swap or am I going to have to do some cutting and welding? I took my factory one off tonight to see if it was a direct swap but it was not. Thanks for the advice ahead of time.

I think you will have to modify the frame horns and brackets.

Never seen a conversion bracket for the 03+ bumpers. Prob ezer to do a denali front end. Cutting and welding will most likely have to me done.

If your going to do it go with a denali or get a ss bumper from street scene and be different.

Go to dealership and tell they u have 03 gmc and u need the front bumper brackets for the frame , they make they where u cut off your old ones and slide. These on the inside of your frame and drill hole and they bolt on real easy this how they r repaired if there damaged real bad in a wreck
