What should i do on painting truck?

On my 1990 chevy k1500 what sound i do on my paint (the old classic chevy white paint that comes off)?
Maco wants like $1300 to strip and paint. Is that worth it or should i try and strip it and primer it myself whats my option.
The truck i my back up truck and hunting/ working truck. Thanks guys

For what you use it for I would use them. Like mine, it isn't a show truck, needs needs some color.

Why not do it yourself? I would think it would be a great learning experience and be fun and save some money all at once...but thats just me...Macco is kinda garbage but its all done for you.

It would be cool to line it. but unless you have deep pockets you wont be lining it anytime soon. i have been spraying liners for a few years now and its not cheap it equals out to be about 30$ a gal and it takes about 4 gals to spray a bed? i did the bottom of a 16ft boat once and they charged the customer 2500$ and it would take more to do a truck.
