    rims: paint or polish?

i got some new rims, need some input on what i should do with them. should i polish them up or paint them gloss black. im leaning toward black. also does anyone have any experience with vht polyurethane wheel paint, i used regular vht flat black on the stock rims and it holds up good.

pic of the truck there going on.

    and the rims

they have a 5.125 center hole so i think their eagle alloys? idk they were $40.

also, 5.5" tall center caps is the normal size rite? they sell a 3.5", which would end up even with the edge of the rim, but i don't know if that would look rite.

also, do i need to use an etching primer for wheel paint to stick to aluminum or is wheel paint made to work with aluminum? and whats your opinion on clear coat, worth the extra money?

if you coat them, pay the little extra for powder coating.

coatings out of my price range. i don't really need the durability anyways, i don't wheel the truck, its a 2wd. the paint hasn't given me any problems so far on the stock wheels and i painted right on top of chrome with no primer or clear coat, so im confident paint will be durable enough for me.

Chrome handles and clears. I know my choice. If you polish, you'll need them cleared or you'll have to maintain them.

Go with the gloss black. Like gasguzzler said some clear coat will help protect the paint from chipping.
