Dudes,

I'm trying to settle down my truck from 1000 to 2300rpm.

I'm guessing the fault is the maf calibration!!!!

I had this Grannattelli MAF CAI tuned, but it just send values from hell, so Allen told me to change to the stock one.

Since I have CAI TB80mm and my kind of high cam, I want to know wich is the OE MAF threshold?

Any one can give me a hint on where to star in this values?

My Black Truck Has a Grannatelli MAF non CAI tune, and is tuned by Allen. When I check the values of that one, I see them like to high for the original MAF

Any hints will be apreciated, thanks in advance.......

I tune with HP Tuners and all I can say is there will be no way to rescale a MAF without logging the truck and seeing error against a know VE table...... When you change any MAF, whether you are changing to another stock or aftermarket MAF, you must tune to that particular MAF. Since the MAF is the driving force behind fueling at WOT on a stock NA tune, then it is important to scale the MAF to meet your specific AFR requirement.

Not sure I understand the threshold question, but I know a stock or Granatelli MAF is good for about 60 lb/min of airflow. Most stock 5.3L will flow 32-35 lb/min at WOT. My blown 12 psi 5.3L is maxing the MAF out at 65 lb/min at 185 kPA. So unless you know your airflow rate at this point, not sure how you would know if you are meeting the limitations of the MAF.

It is easy to scale a MAF using the HPT log and tuning package....

Easiest way to dial it in is over your already dialed in VE table so you can just lay the MAF table right over it. Use a wideband and AFR error % to dial in the VE then reenable the MAF and start with the stock table and go from there.

Im not sure? But I think he knows how to scale the MAF?. Problem is its a Granattelli MAF, They are notorious for there problems. Some guys can stick them in with no tuning and be fine, But most cant and cause big headaches.

I would go back to the stock MAF and dial it in, Or at least scale the stock MAF then install the Granattelli to get you not even close. Wash, Rinse and Repeat.

Sorry, been out a few days... I agree with the others.... Two basic dont's when it comes to MAF's....

Never buy a Granatelli and never descreen..............

I dial in VE table with the wideband AFR % error technique, and then turn MAF back on once the VE table is zero'd or has a slight negative bias to keep any trim from following me into PE.... Then use the histogram to tighten up the MAF.......

    Good Luck
