Well 1st of all its nice to be back to where I can get some internet service. I have been on a rig with no phones or network. Ohhhh Boy

    Now about LS1 edit

Have you used it? If so how hard is it to use? Does it have a setting that will take you back to totally stock if you totally screw it up? Do they have a chart that shows what settings are good for certian setups?

I am considering buying it to tinker with my computer and see what I can do with only computer work.

    Thanks in advance,

    Brad

Edit definitely takes some patience and there's really no manual for it, it does come with some instructions on how to get started and covers some of the very basic things.
You can save your stock file incase you want to go back,
however it's not fool proof, you can destroy your pcm if you have connection problems.

i haven't smoked any, due to my fault, hahahah

a new pcm is about 120 bucks, then about 70 bucks to get it flashed with a stock file. then you can edit it.

if you buy the single version, and then buy the unlimited, you'll have to start over.

ya, if you mess a pcm up, sometimes they are repairable, sometimes you have to buy a new blank one, either way you have to have it flashed.

Yeah screwing up a PCM because your laptop messes up can really ruin your day.

Dont be afraid of frying PCMs or anything like that. Just make sure your laptop or whatever pc youre using to program with wont screw up on you or your gonna be paying $70 at the dealer to reflash it with the Tech II the next day

So then if you have LS1Edit for one PCM and you fry that PCM and get a new one, you're screwed right? Or can you tell carputing.com what happened, send your LS1Edit cable back and have a fresh one given to you? Or will you have to buy a whole new $550 Edit license?
