Tunning a 04 SSS with a 05 ECM????

Helping a friend out, by getting his 04 SSS with a Radix to run after he tried to program it with a hand held and fried the ECM. (Truck had a low battery)
I only have the license for 00, 02, and 05 years, so we used a 05 ECM and started with a stock 05 SSS tune. Now I'm starting to wonder if they are compatible like the 99-02 ECM's. Every thing seams to work fine and the tune is pretty good,, He does have a battery light on, but no codes.?????
So is there anything different between a 04 and 05 ECM?

I see that happen mostly when you use a pcm thats not from its exact year. To turn that light off, just disable the l and f terminal codes at the bottom of the DTC page. That will take that battery light off. If it seems to be working fine, I would say keep going until you come into some major obstacle.

Thats what I have done in the past with 00 to 02 conversions, but they also set a l or f terminal codes. this truck has no codes. but I&#39;ll turn them off just to see.

Well, I just shut off code P2A01, which is unlisted. Anyone have any idea why this code is comes on? Or what it does?
