Just swapped out my converter, from a 2800 to a 9-1/2" 3500
what do I need to change in the tune, to get my trans running right...

It runs well, but I had the TC not lock up in 2nd, or 3rd..with the 2800..
now my trans temps get pretty high with the 3500, and I am thinking I need to have it lock up now..
what settings do I adjust?
and what else needs to be changed?
Thanks
Daniel

oh i see. call me and ask info then post up and ask io see how you are. lock it up in third for sure. i had to lock mine is second and third once it started getting real hot out. i believe that you can do it by tps as well. as far as the tune. check to see what the timing is set at at the rpm;s in which you are going to launch at. all the rest should be ok if you havent messed with it .

yeah I looked, and changed some things, but apparantly,, it wasnt the right things..

plus I am a little cautious about changing things on the trans, we all know what can happen if you get to crazy with it
so i went back to before..
damn I wish i HP....

If it's getting hot, I'd definitely install two or a larger trans cooler.
I've used them all, and I have to say the BM is the best out. I've tried the type with cooling fins and a fan and my trans temp went up.
The design of the BM is great!

If you want to lock up the converter, go to the trans section, then tcc section, then 2-3, 3-4 tables, lower or increase the mph. Lowering the values will lock it up sooner, and increasing them will lock it up later, a higher mph.

I like to have mine unlocked at wot with a NA setup.

good luck,

ok so it will be fine to install 2 coolers inline???
I can do this as I have one just sitting in the garage right now.
and thanks Allen I will try and make those changes now.

The trans can push quite a bit of pressure, two free flowing trans coolers won't hurt anything.
If your trans is seeing hotter temps, it's probably because of the stall, that is if everything is ok mechanically, so installing another cooler sounds like the solution.

let me know,

when I open up the TTC tab, I dont see a 2-3, or 3-4 table

what I see is a
Normal Mode MPH vs%TPS
Performance Mode MPH vs%TPS
Cruise Mode MPH vs%TPS
also
Normal Mode Max %TPS Release
Performance Mode Max %TPS Release
Cruise Mode Max %TPS Release,
and the TCC MPH Threshold table?
release, and
apply
???????????

Use this one.

Lower the values to lock up the verter sooner, which may cool the trans down, but will bog the engine a bit.
The extra cooler will probably do the trick,

btw, what kind of temps are you seeing. 180deg is acceptable, it sounds like you were used to seeing 150deg or so.
