How safe is it ti drive my truck after i swap the cam its a its 5.3 220/581 cam new lifters pushrods oil pump timing and springs i need the truck for work and stuff and i kinda don't wanna just sit around and look at my cammed truck i wanna drive it

I drove mine from Oklahoma to sar with no tune so Nelson could do it. Bout 500 mile trip. Might check your spark plugs when you get tune cause it will be running lean! And you will learn how to two step lol

i wouldnt untill u get it tuned. same cam in my 4.8 and it idle rough but never wanted to kill itself before tune
