well heres the story i have a local dyno shop/tuner who did all the tuning for my 2010 camaro and he deals with only diablo tuners. i was talking to him the other day about tuning the truck when i get the 6.0 installed and told him that i was going to do away with the MAF since i was going to be using a procharger with about #10-12 lbs and i didnt want to fool with it and was just going to run a SD tune 2 bar map sensor instead.

i have no experience tuning vehicles so if what i'm saying is dumb let me know lol

heres what was said

me:hey man this i came by today to talk to you about tuning
the truck with an ls swap, i meant to ask you this when i was there
but it slipped my mind.

i'm going to do away with the mass air meter and change to a 2 bar map
sensor and run a speed density setup and keep the O2 sensors this
wouldnt be a problem would it?

tuner:It has to be setup the same way whatever computer you decide to use. If you
use a MAF pcm then stay maf if you use a MAP pcm stay map..

me: hmm well thats gonna be a problem then i know with hp tuners you can
get a 2 bar tune to redo the pcm and delete the MAF i dont guess you
can do that with diablo?

tuner: I'm sure if can be done, it just takes a lot more time to tune all the VE
map tables versus one MAF table and a commanded fuel table. Maf to me is a
lot more reliable and safer.

me: yeah i know, ive just been reading alot of people who have issues with
them on FI motors and talking about them maxing out and they just
delete the MAF and its simpler. so that was my plan.
so what i'm asking is what hes saying true with diablo? if it is would what hes saying about the VE tables work or should i find someone else to tune the truck? should i buy hp tuners and have someone help me tune it?
