    E85 mpg

Thinking of just having my tuner do a straight e85 tune on my truck. Right now I get about 11.5 on e85 and 14.5 on 89. What kind of mileage increase do y'all think i'll get on the e85. Not terribly worried about mpg, if I was I would ride a bicycle. But if I could get 2 mpg, that'd be pretty f'n sweet. We have quite a few e85 stations in the area. Thanks for the input.

You won't gain MPG, that's for sure

So people can gain a few mpg going to a 93 tune, but no gain in mpg with an e85 tune?!

On e85 you burn more fuel. That's why fuel systems that support 1000hp on 93 will only support 600hp on e85...

burns more fuel, but is almost a dollar cheaper per gallon here in DFW, I dont know if that would equal out or not.

On a stock engine you will likely lose mpg with e85 because it takes more volume

If you had something like a 13:1+ compression motor then you may maintain or even gain a little mpg. I was getting around 16mpg on 91 with fuel injection. I think I'll get 14-15 when I'm finished tuning this carb on e85

Depends on what e85 cost around you it's only about 30cents cheaper so check your prices to see in it's worth the switch.
