    diagnostic software

    what software do you guys use for your laptop or android phones to clear codes see engine stats or whatever? i dont want "tuning" software just something to see how everything is running and other various things.

    I use HPtuners for most of my work but also have a cheap hand held OBD2 scanner. It gives basic live data capabilities and shows freeze frames.

    well i found a little cheaper way then to buy hp tuners and it work on my phone

    downloaded these two apps to see which i like more

    Torque Pro (OBD2 & Car)
    US$4.95

    OBD DROIDSCAN PRO
    US$2.99


    and got this bluetooth scanner off ebay for 15 bucks

    Let us know how well it works. I have seen those apps before but was not sure of the quality or refresh rate of the data list

    they both work but i believe i like the Torque app better but they both read the codes and cleared them for me. i didnt have time to do much more then just plug it in for 5 min and clear codes i'll play around with it more when i have free time at home.

    for some odd reason they didnt read hardly anything off our 2012 ford 550s but on my 97 1500 it read pretty much everything.

    have tried elm 327 it works...

    but can't beat hp tuners , hands down
