I bought my core 02 PCM from a salvage yard so I can upgrade my tune to that. Its actually an 01 PCM, but they listed the 01 and 02 as having the same part number. Do I need to take it back and get one specifically from an 02?

Seconds question is will the new pcm be able to take more timing than my 99 pcm? I know there are some crappy false knock problems in 99, and was just wondering if I would be able to add some timing on top of getting the timing back from the false KR.

Yes, more timing means more power!
