Guys,
how much timing to max power have you tuned your 5.3L H/C 2wd RCSB NBS??
I'm pulling 23 max, but I'm looking to maximize power.

My bolt on 5.3 was seeing 28* with no KR.

2008 Chevy RCSB 5.3 4x4 LT SOLD
2010 Chevy CCSB 6.2 4x4 LT SOLD
2005 GMC CCLB DRW 6.6 Duramax 4x4 191,000 and counting
2013 FORD CCSB F350 6.7 Powerstroke 4x4
I have seen as far as 35* no KR.
But I don't think that is the best ADV. for HP (nor tuning by KR only)
Did you ever Dyno your truck? If you did, was that the sweat spot?
I imagine a H/C and bolts on will benefit from a 31* Max wot or should 28-29* do the job?
I didn't ever dyno it. The butt meter said 28* was the sweet spot. I didn't feel like it gained any power over 28* and I felt like that was a safe spot.

cool, thanks PB.
Since this truck is H/C, I'll test 29*
It will make quite a few gain from the 23* I put b4
Last night this guy race a turbo opel astra and handed his butt !!!!
No way he'll catch him with 29* but a least will be less the flesh damage LOL
Truck is single leg, on street tires, so 1st and mid 2nd is fumes and smoke show !!!!
