    Idle speeds for ls6 cam

    What do you guys have your idle speed set at.
    Here are mine. They feel little low what do think.
    (LS1 with 317 heads 9.2cr)

    800 rpm for a .550 lift cam doesn't seem too high.

    I just checked a stock 2003 Z06 file and the idle speed was the same as the one I posted above.

    Maybe it's just me but I've noticed a lot of GM's with manual transmissions idle a bit higher, I guess to help people who can't drive get going. Maybe take that into account when comparing to a Z06. Again this isn't fact just something I've noticed here and there.

    The C5 and C6 Z06s are very easy to drive from a stop. You almost don't need to use the throttle to get started. The reason an automatic might idle a bit lower is to keep it from pulling too hard when in gear with the stock converter.

    as long as the truck doesn't stumble, idle rpm is whatever you feel comfortable with.

    A little off topic but how does your turbo like that LS6 cam?? And what year is that LS6 cam (What are the specs) ???

    I don't remember what year the ls6 cam is but it seems to have alot more low end torqu than my last cam.
