Spark advance tables and shift rpm/speed question

Just did a base tune on my truck to delt some things like speed limit tq management on the motor ect. Some questions for the tuning guru’s is how many degrees of timing did you add for spark advance low oct table and for the spark advance high oct table? I added 1 degree on both tables. How much spark advance is ideal for the low oct table with current mods? (I know ill need to retune when I install my Lt’s)

Also dose the shift rpm from 1-2 need to match the shift speed from 1-2? Is so what’s the math equation for figuring it out?

I’m using jet dst if that makes a diff

    **shift speed question solution:
set the shift up mph to 0, so it then shifts by rpm’s

still looking on timing advance info

It depends what your calibration looks like from GM, but typically, timing is maxed at about 30degs of timing at wot, at the shift rpm. Of course mid range won't be that high.
Add 4 degs and see if there is any KR.
Might as well copy the high octane table to the low octane table.

The pcm will shift to the next gear when two criteria are met, rpm and mph.
Set your rpm to the desired shift point and set the mph to the desired shift point.
Certain pcm's want to shift at mph, regardless of what rpm is, so i always set the mph and rpm as close as possible to the desired shift point.

    good luck,

Thanks for getting back to me farmtruc, I ended up putting the up shift speed to zero (under the performance/tow hall mode for tester) and setting my shift rpm to 6k and it worked like a dream. What oct is the high oct table for? The best gas around here is 91 oct cat piss .

The hi and lo tables are right next to each other. 91oct is fine.
