    Question 5.3 swapped into 94 chevy tune

    i was wondering if someone can point me in the right direction of tuning my truck.

    im building a 5.3/60E combo for my 94 chevy. i have the Nelson Performance wiring harness. i need to know what i need to turn off or change to make my truck run on the first try. im wanting to try my hand at tuning an doing a safe tune to learn on...i know i can get a tune from NP but thats more money than i can afford right now thanks to this build. i know it doesnt have all the emissions stuff anymore so can/will that keep my truck from running?

    any help is great an worse come to worse ill just have to call you Allen an hopefully youll share some tuning knowledge with me.

    Hey, no problem Keniff.

    System-> Vats off
    DTC's - turn off every emission code you don't need. Uncheck the ON/OFF and set to No error reported for all codes not needed.

    That will allow the engine to start and have no codes.

    As for cam, idling, af ratio, timing, that's a long discussion.
