I have a 79 stepside with a 01 LM7/4l60E. i am in the nazi state of california and i am trying to get my vehicle so it will pass smog. I keep reading that i can make all the tests pass in the tune so that i can actually disable and mock up the egr and secondary air stuff. is this true i cant find a whole lot of cali stuff and would like to find out all of the options and create a write up for cali swaps. Thanks!!
Yes you can get all the test to complete. You just have to select the senors that correspond with those test and set them to report no error and enable the SES light in the DTC table.
Step 1. crus at it.
Step 2. get a hammer.
Step 3. torch it.
ok i think i got all of the codes set to report no error but what code in dtc enables the ses light?
The box has to check to enable the SES.
