    Converter lock up?

    I got my 3000 rpm converter in today, it does everthing it's supposed to. i also installed my retuned computer from nelson, started right up and runs awesome as usual...but at light throttle the truck will bog down at 45-50 and it's the converter locking I'm guessing? If you give it gas fast it'll release and rev up higher, but I always thought you guys tuned these for no lock up till like 90 or something. Just curious, Thanks!

    the 90 one is at full throttle whats doing is locking up for many reasons one gas saver but ur ok mine does lock up at 40 i dont have lock at wide open throttle though

    The converter needs to lock up between 40 and 55mph in order to keep the trans cool and save a little on fuel.
    Your stock converter did this, but it wasn't as noticeable.

    When you go wot, it'll unlock and stay unlocked, but when you're cruising and in 4th gear, it'll lock up.

    sounds like it's working normal, nothing to worry about.

    i bet the performance from the 3000stall is nice tooo,

    Good deal man...I'm in love with this thing now, the new converter and of course your tune have made it a rocket compared to what it was!

    You think you could take some vids. i just want to see what the converter does to your rpm's when taking off at a normal speed and cruising.
