Got up to leave this morning and when I went to start my truck, it wouldn't idle. It would turn over, then die. Did that three times, so during the fourth time I tried to start it, I gave it a little gas. Started right up, but as soon as I let off the peddle....it dies. So I lift the hood, don't see anything wrong. I go inside for about 30min and go back out to try again. Starts right up and idles fine.
Turn it off, try starting again,.........starts right up!!!
So what the heck is going on with this thing??

During the past two weeks I have noticed that I have lost significant power in 1st and 2nd from 0-60 and when it hits 3rd takes off with plenty of power to spare. I can only assume that my PCM is giving me trouble. I have had this 93 hot tune for about 7,000 miles now, so I don't know why it would give me trouble now, but it is the only thing I can think of that would cause all these problems.

The only other possibility in my head is that the exhaust (dualed out from the muffler) is choking my engine up. I have replaced my EGR valve once already so I don't think it would be that, maybe you guys have some ideas.

Check your fuel pressure and fuel filter! I've seen pumps go bad and let the prime at start up bleed down and cause the engine to die. If you have a set of AC guages for an r-12 set up it will screw onto your fuel rail so you can check it.

Just got that fuel filter changed not to long ago, never had a drop of anything in my truck except premium 93octane, and run Lucas Engine additive in it about every 3 tank fulls. But I suppose checking wouldn't hurt, I'm sure you've got more experience with these things than I do.
Good gas won't stop a pump from going bad anyways.
Thanks for the advice, I will check it out tomorrow.
