Thread: Swapping PCM's

    Does anyone know if it would be possible to swap in a 1999PCM into a 1997? I know you would probably have to get the latest software for a 1999 from GM and load it with a Tech II. Then would you have to go through a procedure to match it to the BCM like you do when swapping PCM's on cars?

    I am looking for a way to cahnge the program with LS1 Edit.

    i dont believe that is possible to do. there are different sensors and i believe the harness is different. i could be wrong.
