New Nelson tune installed last night. Truck fired ran great after about a 30 minute idle relearn period. Wouldn't stay running for sh*t... And when you crank it up it still hunts the idle sometimes. Anyway, no codes showed up but should i get the crank relearn done anyway? I have several buddies at the local GM dealership and they will do it free of charge...

And whats the deal with the 400-500 mile period when everyone says it really comes alive. Is this something i will see? Or is that only in highly modified applications?

I am happy with the tune so far although i only have about 200 miles on it. The shift is much better now.. especially at WOT.

What would the vette servos benefit?

Allen and Melissa are great folks to deal with. Very professional attitude on the phone, and that matters a lot in my book! I'm glad i chose the nelson tune. I've heard too many "horror" stories about a few other mail order tunes...

There is not a idle relearn on these. Crank relearn is only for misfire diagnostics and probably will do nothing if it runs that poorly.

i meant that it just took a while to learn the idle... took almost a half an hour just to get it to idle with no throttle. i bet i cranked it 30 times or more. its doing better now though.. it will still shoot up about 500 rpm when you put it in park or neutral though.

What's the specs on that cam? I'm still debating on what cam to get.
