Hey, I'm pretty new here, but had a few questions about the Nelsons tune. Well let me start off by saying that I am a regular at the truckmoxie site and they pretty much live by the Westers tune, but I have decided that Nelson's is the one for me. I am not quite ready for the tune, but I need to go ahead and do it. I recently installed my 3.90 gears and my handheld programmer does not have a setting for them. So my speedo is off a little which bothers me. So a Nelson is in order. My question is though that the 180 degree stat for the 2004's is not out yet but will be in another month or so and I still have the underdrive pulley and electric fans that I want to do. I cannot wait for the tune, so these will come later. Nelson will send an updated tune for these mods I know, but, will driving the truck with the new mods but the old tune hurt anything, other than performance?

ok the gears will have to be programmed in. as far as the stat you can do it later and still have the tune.the fans and underdrive pulley will not affect it. get the tune now.

02Denali. Yeah, well thats what I thought. Too dang bad I just missed the group buy for the Nelsons. I have to do something right away so I can have the correct speedo readout. I didn't figure that the other mods would hurt to drive while I wait on the new tune, but wanted to make sure. Hey, I looked on your other site. You live in Baytown? I noticed the Garbs muffler sticker in your picture. I've had them install some exhausts for me too. Anyways, great looking truck, love that Denali clip.

MAYBE you could use a smaller tire size in your handheld to compensate for the 390's until your NELSON TUNE gets here
