Anybody here have a 99 that was plagued with false knock? Im running a 2002 PCM now since my 99 was so bad. Did you have it updated and did it solve the problems? I cant use Edit with this 2002 PCM, I need my 99 back and running!

I too have a 99 GMC with a LS1 that suffers from false knock.
Others have used resistors to de-sensitize the knock sensors.
I plan on getting the harness that runs from the back of the throttle body where the knock sensors connect to the computer. Then cut the wiring so you can solder a 10K ohm resistor for each sensor wire between the 2 connectors, thus making an inline resistor jumper. I hope this will plug between the back of the throttle body and the computer eliminating the false knock. By making it a plug in jumper you can remove it and adjust the resistors if you still have knock after checking with a diagnotic scanner.
I have not done this yet due to lack of time, always working.

I just wanted to see if anybody else has had problems with their 99 PCM's. I think its time to get rid of my truck.
