alright, I have a 04 silverados ss with a 160 thermostat, cai and exhaust and 4.10's. I live in denver so my elevation is 5400 ft. My family and I were in memphis this year for the lsx shootout and there is when i decided to get a hp tuner rather than a mail order tune. so i got the hpt a few days ago and i am overwelmed. where do i begin? is it possible to get the truck to run like it did at sea level or better up here at mile high elevation? any suggestions are greatly appreaciated...... oh yeah, nice to be on here and kinda meet you guys! shane

basic tune tune on a 04 SSS is pretty easy, take away some on the TM in the trans and take all out of the motor, change the shift rpm up to 6000ish in each gear and add a couple degrees of timing, if you get knock in the scanner then pull the timing away till there is no knock

Welcome. Its going to be very hard if not impossible to get your truck to run at that high of altitude as it did at sea level because your at suck a disadvanage with that DA.
