    pros/cons

    what are the pros and cons of 87 vs. 93 octane tunes

    im hopefully going o be getting a nelson tune within the next couple of days

    well i would say the 93 is way to cause you get the most power and the added fuel mileage equals out the extra coast of the 93 oct vs the 87. just my understanding and 2 cents

    im with him .but youlle have to be willing to sacrifice and pay the price of premum.i do and many others,its not that big of a deal,for what you get in the tune .i say go 93.

    Hmmm......the highest octane available here is 91.
    2001 ECSB 4x4, 5.3, Radix, 3.0 pulley, VHP Trucker cam, 216/224 .551/.551 115 lsa, 1.8 Crane roller rockers, 4L65E, Yank SC3000, 3.73, Cal-Tracs, HPTuners.

    93 is only available in the midwest and east coast for some reason. its the same way here in colorado too, theres only 91

    Pro = more power & driveability

    Con = ??? There aren't any that I can think of that count.

    If you say premium fuel is too expensive, then you shouldn't be looking for performance. Most of the time more performance leads to leadfootitis, which usually turns into sh!tty gas mileage.

    ive had both...could really tell a difference between the 2...both are good
