93 nelson tune and servo in!!

Ok so here it is....servo installed and 93 tune...all I can say is WOW!!! I thought the 89 tune was good. I am so impressed with this truck....put the tune in last night and did the pass key procedure and the crank relearn this morning my buddy works at a dealership and did it in a few min with the tech 2. The 1-2 shift is so much firmer but not to firm under 1\4 throttle...but if you give it half or WOT.....I almost crapped my pants. No sloppy shift anymore... I was going down the road at one point and started out at about 3\4 throttle....when I hit 2nd I chirped the tires. By no means do I intend to do this all the time but this thing shifts like it should now. The tune is very nice..the 89 was great but this is quite a bit more agressive than that. I definetly feel it. What a joy to drive around town and crack her open and I am gone. Thank you Allen and Nelson Performance.

Hell yeah...it shifts pretty hard when im into it..do you think that is ok for the trans?

the servo is still my fav mod!!!!

shifts hard when it needs to but is nice when your not "on it"

doesnt snap my neck...talked to allen today...everything is just fine...not used to it shifting like it should. I love that servo. GM should put them in from the get go on the GMT 900's.

Does the 1-2 Servo also affect the 2-1 downshift? If so, how? Does it make it downshift quicker with less throttle? I am asking because my truck has all of the TM and Abuse Mode removed, but it still doesn't downshift very quickly when I am rolling along and give it some mild-moderate acceleration. I need to give it quite a bit of throttle to get'er to downshift and then she takes off like a raped ape. But before the downshift, the power just ain't there. Is this something I can have Allen change in my tune?

im gonna guess and say that has something to do with the shift spring that goes on the pin that the servo is located on...and not the servo itself...i have both the heavier spring and the servo and mine downshifts quick.

I have noticed that it downshifts a lot quicker. Just touch it going up a hill and when it downshifts it is nice and crisp...a lot better than before. I just have the servo and even from 2 to 1 it is so much better

Hmmm, thanks. I will be talking to Allen this week (hopefully) and I will discuss this with him. My tune needs tweaking anyway for the e-fans running all the time now.
