If I buy Edit, tune my 4.8, then later on throw in a 6.0, will I still be able to use Edit on my truck? Does it lock the PCM or a VIN# or something? How does it work?
Thanks

It marries to you vin so as long as youdont change the pcm with your swap, you will be golden.
2000 Silverado, RCSB, 2wd w/ a few mods.
Best 1/4 ET: 12.09@111.22 (old 5.3L H/C/N2O setup)
WRE 370 and Kenne Bell 2.8L installed and breaking trannys.
2001 Tahoe LT 4wd
Stock, daily driver and tow vehicle.
I can use my PCM on the 6.0 when I drop it in right? I don't need a new PCM for the 6.0?
Do I have to make sure I get a 2001 6.0 or something?

It doesnt matter what year the motor is. All the stuff is the same, unless you get an 03 or newer 6.0, then you are just gonna have to swap throttle bodies because the new ones are drive by wire.
