I'm 791..

....these two are running with TxStVanWilder:

This was against a Ford Focus with a fart can:

And these two are against the SRT10 (ouch):

No record breakers for sure, but that's what I get for having an obese 4wd truck!
This was my first time ever racing, so I guess the encouraging thing is my R/T improved each run and so did my E/T's. And sorry, but I have to point out - my second 60' was better than the SRT!

Not bad...had to wait a little bit in line, but nothing crazy. Nice track though, I'm hooked.

i really thought you would run a little bit faster. with a 3000 stall and 4WD your 60' should be lower. were you launcing in 4WD?

The 1st run I planned on doing with no stall, plain old 2wd, just to see what it would do Alan started stalling, and I gave in to peer pressure, started to stall mine and the light changed, so I kind of screwed my launch (and times) up. The second run I did in AWD stalled to about 2000. The third run I tried 2wd again, stalled to 2000 and spun bad. Fourth run I did in AWD stalled to 2500. The last I did in AWD stalled to 2800.

I never got a retune after the torque converter/headers/exhaust work. I wonder if I'm needing one. I've been looking around and there are other extended cab Z71's with better times than me and not nearly as many mods. I really think it should run in the 14's> My last run, I got close, but I think right now a 15.0 is all it has in it.

Allen, if you read this, do you think I need a retune (shift points etc. adjusted since I have the new parts)?

Here's what I did - still suckin' wind 14.6 ---- ughh!

I only ran twice, but was too disappointed and tired to run anymore. I ran a 14.6 when I went to the track last time in 105 degree with bald tires.....was extremely perplexed by the cold air not doing ANYTHING to help me. There's gotta be some kind of restriction going on somewhere!

Anyway, here's my best run of the night:

R/T - .337
60' - 2.338
330 - 6.255
1/8 - 9.464
MPH - 77.80
1000 - 12.234
1/4 - 14.631
MPH 93.52

So come on, somebody tell me what I'm doing wrong!! 30 degree temp drop and nothing different. Changes besides that and last time I went to the track:

oil change
tires - Indy Profile S/S
Leaky header connector remedied (bolt had fallen out) -

"was wonderin' why I kept on hearing this ticking sound!!"

Comparing the SRT-10 times that DamnYankee ran makes me see I'm not too far off from the SRT-10 times (.4 seconds)...still little consolation.
