Hey everyone, I got to test and tune at cleves at ohio yesterday, edgewater raceway. My truck would not hook for shit, allthough it was extremely cold, I was still very dissapointed. I had a set of 26x11.5x16 M/T ET Streets. At one time as was down to as low as 10lbs of air and it still didnt hook and was a dog on the big end. Look closeely at the eigth mile times, is this good because the truck feels decent this far out. I think the big freakin stall converter is really killing my truck, the new one is going in this saturday along with a good tune, hopefully that speeds this thing up.

looks fine to me, and with a lil lower stall u should be good especially with ur traction issues. with that kind of power its almost better to have a lower stall so that u can at least hook up. its incredible u cant hook, but not surprising in a beast like that.

yeah your 60' are crap for having that size of a stall and drag radials you should easily be hitting 1.8's which would put you in the 13's

i think something is wrong with the setup for those times.
how good of a burnout were you doing?
10lbs in those tires are way to low. i'm running the same tires and never run them below 15lbs. you have to do a decent burnout with them to get em to hook. i've pulled a best 1.71 60' with them.

just seen you really don't have much of an exaust. that's probably hurting you too.

yea i really think it is the loose ass stall, and I only ran 10lbs once, it was too low.....and heat, yea I heated the crap outta them....i think the truck was flashing like 4500 or so and shifts at 5600 so hopefully saturday the new converter will be much tighter. It was also only 40 degrees out that day. And the exhaust is pretty free flowing, just still have the cats, so that is hurting it. The truck run much better with the stock converter, i think buying the vig was a huge mistake at this point....if the next one is too loose as well then im calling allen to see what he reccomends, then I can send it back and have a restall. Gonna upgrade the cam soon, so i will need some stall. The truck weighs alot and the converter isnt letting it make torqu because it is out of that power band....drive really sucks....first and second gear arent bad

o and almost all my passes were 15lbs of air.....I tried 20 and it wouldnt come close to hookin

Not bad times! I agree the stall is a little too big. When I had my 3800 I could spin the slicks as much as I wanted. Hell I could be going 40MPH and break loose the street tires any time I wanted. How many runs do you have on your et streets? How wide are your rims?

Tires are almost new, and the rims are 16x9.5

and the stall was supposed to be 3600 but we think that maybe I got the wrong one, cuz another guy got one and it was to tight....that is why we are swapping, Im not really sure what is going in it, I told him 2200 and i think he got me a 3200.....he likes alot of stall so we will see wat happens. I can rev my truck in gear at a stop light or something to about 3600 or so on the regular street tires.

A good way to check is put it in 2, hold the brakes at stop and press the gas to the floor. My 3800 would stall to 3800 like that. Some are flash stall in that case I would't know how to check.

your exhaust is choking you and your gears are weak...longtubes, ORY cutout and 4.10's...get that 60' down into the 1.80/1.70's and bust some 12's IMO. VIG is an awesome converter. the best from what i hear.
