you will need the GenIII truck Acc. bracket yes

The 5/16 steel braided hose that is listed for the parts list, what does it exactly connect to? What do the connectors look like? Where would be the best place to get that from? I went to this local automotive store down here and they mentioned like a speed and performance shop woul dbe the best place to go.

Also, does anyone have a part number for an engine temp sensor for an 01 5.3? Doesnt the engine temp sensor connect on the top of the intake manifold on the GENIII 5.3's?

Engine temp should be screwed into the head in front of the number one cylinder exhaust port (on fbody, assume the same place on trucks).

Ill have to check that when I get some time..

What about as far as the steel braided hose? Oh and I know the part numbers are listed for the fuel lines on the website, but would anyone have a pic or like a diagram of what those actually look like? I felt lost when I was trying to ask her if they had those fuel lines because the part numbers werent coming up..

The hose connectors I use for the OBS trucks are made by Dorman and are available at any Orielly or Autozone store. Braided steel hose is something I know nothing about. I run fuel injection type rubber hose on mine.

I'm going from '01 4.3 to '04 5.3 (complete with harness, PCM, and all Acc.). Can i just install a cable driven throttle body and simply NOT plug in the connector for the DBW? I'm assuming Nelson can tune the PCM to reflect this?

I have that Haynes Book that does a complete tear down and rebuild of all the 99-02 1500 trucks, and in the instructions to remove the engine it says your gonna have to take apart the ac lines of course, so does that mean I have to go ahead and get someone to take all the refrigerant out? or can I leave it in?

When you take apart the AC line you will lose all your refrigerant. You do not have to have someone take it out for you. When you "break" the bolts on the line all the refrigerant will escape.

You will however need to have your AC system vacuumed and recharged once the swap is complete.

To be environmentally friendly you should have the a/c charge evacuated by a machine to save polluting our environment. That's what you're supposed to do anyway. Some places will evac it for you and then re-install it for you for a small fee later when your system is rebuilt.
