I'm trying to figure out what would be the most simple swap into an 01 Blazer with a 4.3l Vortec 4300. The less fabbing required the better. The motor has to be post-2000 to stay smog legal in California so no LT1s.
Thanks for any input
Nick

Project: 91' short wide:GMC front end update with billet grille and all clears, 17x8 & 17x11 Torq Thrust II's5/7 drop, almost totally shaved and 93 Deville tailsFuture Plans: 2001 LQ4 6.0L & a T-56

LQ4 or LQ9 I assume. What parts would I need to swap? Oil pan and pump? + mounts + tranny?
Of course the electricals would need to be done and exhaust.
Where would I be able to order the mounts and pan and pump that I'd need?
Would the LQ4 or LQ9 be able to physically fit into a blazer without modification?
What about cooling?
Thanks
Nick

As for the things that you need to swap. Im not sure with the blazer. There are a few post for 4.3L siverados doing the 6.0L swap. Check those out in the LS1 conversion forum. It will be really helpfull.LQ4 or LQ9 I assume. What parts would I need to swap? Oil pan and pump? + mounts + tranny?

Unless a Blazer came with a v8 that year I think your stuck with the 4.3, the way the law was explained to me by the referee you can only replace the engine with the maximum cuber offered that year. I could be wrong but that is how it was explained to me.
