which LS1 would be better, vette, camaro, firebird.....
im sure the vette has more hp but are there problems or its easier to swap any of the others

also does anyone know if the moter mounts will line up right since ive got a v8, i know you had a v6 farmtruc right? so that might be why you had to weld in new mounts

i plan on getting the ls1 edit also so as far as the vette security crap being one of the problems ....there wont be any after running that program

You'll have to refresh our minds, what truck are you putting it into?

ya, i didn't like the wimpy looking mounts so i made my own. those things will never break, lol.

If you're planning on modding the engine then any one of those engines will be just fine. They are all pretty much the same.

I'd say go with the camaro ls1 so that most of the stuff will fit a little better in your truck.

1500sleeper just bought his badass engine,

    keep up updated,

Here is a completel OEM HP list. http://www.ls1truck.com/reference/oemhp.html You will need to log into the folder (unless its taken off by then), by using the information in the top post under "Newbie check in".

What truck do you have? If i'm not mistaken, any truck before 99 has to have a mount kit/custom mounts b/c the ls1 mounts are different any any previous years. I might be wrong.

If you get a F-Body ls1, get a 01-up (this said 00, i edited it-- Thanks for the correction Jeff), b/c it comes with the ls6 intake manifold already.

Good luck and keep us updated.

the camaro/f-birds are pretty much the same. the vettes came with cable driven throttle in the earlier years......than came the Electronic Throttle Position.....i dont like that electronic throttle crap, that has to do with torque management.
