Wm Sorg, have you run at the track? How is your setup running. Sounds like a blast and alot of hard work has gone into you car. Hope to have my 1981 GMC converted by this summer to a camero drivetrain.

No track time yet. The car is still in the conversion process. I hope it will be done mid April. I wish I could take credit for the hard work, but the conversion is being done at speartech.

At the time I decided not to do the conversion because I would have had to take it to my brothers house in upstate NY and go there on the weekends to do the work. Lastly, there were no sources for mounts.
This was a tough decision for me because I never let anyone touch my car. I like to do the work myself to make sure it gets done right.

As my luck would have it I found sources about a week after I droped the car off. In fact, the company that supplied the raw meterials for my mounts now markets them. The other issue was that the frame had to be notched for the A/C compressor to fit.

On the up side it seems that they have the same perfectionist approach that we all do. He has done a 91 camaro for himself. He is running 11.7s right now. I expect my car will run similar times if I can get it to hoock up. Realistically, I will probably do 11.9s to 12.11s.

When I get the car back the first thing I will have to replace the front springs. I am expecting the car to pitch up about an inch because of the 150LB weight loss. I wish I had thought of this last year when I did the struts and ball joints.

I can't wait to get it back. It will be fun spanking BMWs, mustangs, vettes, etc.

I've got an 88 RCSB waiting to have an LS3 and 4L80 put in. You don't happen to live near Cincinnati and want to make some extra money on the weekends...?
