Hey Guys!, you are my last chance to figure this out properly before saying screw it and go with an automatic. I have a basically stock '02 5.3 motor to go into my '91 C1500. The truck came with a 4.3 V6 and a 5-speed trans (i believe it is a getrag trans). I want to keep the manual trans. The problem is all the info I find on the internet deals with the NV3500 not a getrag. If I go this route, I want to make sure I am not just throwing $$ at something and hope it works. I need to know what flywheel, clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing and release bearing to get. I've seen some blogs that show a clutch that only contacts about 50% of the surface area of a Sachs nfw1050 flywheel. I don't want that. Has anyone done this before? I can't be the only one trying to make this combination work. If I have to, I can just put an automatic in it with an aftermarket floor shift, but, that is not my first choice. Thanks in advance.
