4l80e is out of a 04 3500 Silverado with gas engine, had 55k miles on it,
so I replaced the filter and the input and out seals and pan seal
    got the trans for $500

    right side valve cover off
I got the motor in dec 2008, and it sat sealed up since, ones a year I put alittle oil in the cylinders

motor had 50k miles on it when I got it
its from a 2001 or 2002 gmc Yukon, dbw,

    the suv was rolled

I got a ls3 oil pan, 8 qt monster, its not as deep as the truck pan
so I was able to sit the motor alittle deeper into the frame, to lower the weight, and I mounted the engine 14 inches to the rear
paid $100 for the new take off ls3 pan and pick up and dip stick tube and stick

my dad gave me this 80's suburban fuel tank, It was new and free so im going with it
ordered a tbi fuel sender from a 87, and then changed the pump to the high psi pump that's made for the pressure needed for the swap

I found some non drilled and slotted rotors for the z06 on rockauto, and they were like 50 bucks each, I have some drilled and slotted rotors for it but I didn't want to mess them up during the build or whatever

in this video, I primed the oil system and put a regular oil gauge and turned the key just to build up oil and make sure it would build up oil pressure, also I didn't have spark plugs in the motor because I was using the battery from my mini aka super small battery

I replaced a lot seals on the motor,
oil pan, front/rear mains, timing cover seal, intake manifold seals, valve covers, valley seal

    here I started it up

and I was getting oil coming out of the exhaust

so I knew I had to do valve seals
