    Chevy Iron LS1 Build

Hey guys I started a new project and decided to document the build on youtube. I have a 2000 chevy silverado that I plan on building a new engine for. I have decide to go with the 5.3L and bore it out to the ls1 5.7L, and plenty of other stuff. I have decided to document it on youtube for 2 main reasons, first I am not a mechanic and I want to encourage other non mechanic people to work more on their cars. Second I am hoping that by telling everyone what I plan on doing they will hold me to it, and I will actually follow through. I would describe my video making skills as piss poor or mediocre at best, but I will hopefully improve. If you are interested in tracking the build please subscribe, and if you have suggestions let me know in the comments section.

What is up guys. I wish I could make faster progress on this, but it is hard to find as much time as i would like to work on the build. I did however manage to remove the pistons from the shortblock I am working. on. below is a link to the vid.

So I have completed a little more work on my build and thought I would share the videos. I got the crankshaft, camshaft, and valve lifter out. I am ready to get the engine to the machine shop, and start collecting parts for my build. If you want to follow the build, just hit my youtube logo to subscribe to my channel.

Well it has been a while since I have done some work on my engine. I decided I want to get it done in the next couple months. I went on a spending spree and purchased a bunch of parts. In the video below I go over the parts that I am going to be using to build by engine, why I choose those parts, and about how much they cost. Hopefully people will find it helpful when doing there own builds.

    Update

Hey guys I just thought I would post my recent video of my build. I just did an update of where I am now. I have the old engine out, and I am trying to get the new engine ready to go in. I am hoping to have this build complete in the next few weeks.

So I thought I would post a video of the exhaust and how it sounds. The mic i was using was kind of crappy, so the audio isn't the best. I pretty much have the truck done at this point, so I plan on doing a video of an overall review of how it turned out in the next couple weeks.
