Thread: 4.8 to a 5.3 swap.

    Lightbulb 4.8 to a 5.3 swap.

2003 silverado w/4.8 and a manual 5 spd. 2wd. I'm installing a rebuilt 5.3 w/ a size above stock Howards cam. Will I need to tune my computer or will it be good since they are already set for a little rich condition? Thanks, Brian.

I ran my 5.3 all summer with a howards hot cam 219/228, no tune. It ran great. I've just sent my pcm out to be tuned finally
